Big Battery Hunt

The BIG Battery Hunt

What an amazing school effort! We managed to collect 11,848 in total.

Unfortunately, we didn’t win the national competition, but I am so proud of everyone who helped to recycle the batteries. Many children went above and beyond to support the campaign resulting in us achieving one of the highest counts locally.

Take a look at the link below to see the scores. https://www.bigbatteryhunt.co.uk/bbh-community/

Keep on recycling at home and taking your batteries to local collection points to help support the environment!

Ash Wednesday

We had an amazing Ash Wednesday Service with Vicar Karen to mark the start of Lent. All of the children and staff had the opportunity to have the sign of the cross made in their hand or head. The ashes were made from burning last years palm crosses on Shrove Tuesday then mixed with a little olive oil.

Our Community

Fabulous artwork representing our diverse community. All of our classes contributed to this amazing piece of art. You can see both Honington Church representing our locality and St Edmundsbury Cathedral representing our diocese at the top, pictures showing our military and agricultural communities, our fields and villages and Thetford forest at the bottom with the leaves representing the names of of trees for our classes at the top.
